РусThe International Longitudinal Project, carried out during 70 years, indicated undoubtedly that nowadays the directions of drifts of lithosphere plates in the Northern Hemisphere are opposite to those, predicted by the Theory of Plate Tectonics (TPT). Results of these measurements have no satisfactory explanations and some doubt exists about this conception. It is shown in the article that the observed drift of the lithosphere plates is explained by the inversion, happened during the second half of Holocene and continued by an inertia at present, doesn’t contradict the TPT conception, but requires some refinements.
